The picture of this pattern does not reveal the depth of the pattern. The bobbles are more like peaks or, pardon the word, nipples, that stand up from the surface. I worked this in fingering weight yarn and the peaks stand up at least 3/4" above the surface. This pattern also produces a deeply scalloped edge.
