  Additional Instructions and Notes
Gather3-9Knit 3 stitches together through the back of the stitches without removing the stitches from the left needle; in the same three stitches knit 3 together through the front without removing the 3 stitches from the left needle. Repeat altenating k1-b, k1 in the three stitches until 9 stitches are made. This is a difficult stitch. I worked it using Signature Stilletto pointed needles. I don't think I could do it with ordinary needles.
Decrease 4 Leftslip 3 stitch, knit the next stitch, then lift the three slipped stitches over the knitted stitch and off the needle
Decrease 5knit two together, knit three together; then slip the first loop (k2-tog) over the second loop (k3-tog)
This stitch would also be easier with lace weight yarn. I worked it with fingering weight yarn. This is an Estonian stitch that has a reversible quality; it would work well in a shawl.
