  Additional Instructions and Notes
Nuppknit a stitch,do not take it off the left hand needle; and then follow the sequence *yo, k1* into the same stitch until there are five loops in total. On the next row all the nupp loops are purled together.
Gather 5Knit the next 5 stitches together then before taking the sttches off the left-hand needle, in the same five stitches, (knit in the back, knit in the front, knit in the back and knit in the front). The result is that you should have five loops worked into the five original stitches. You have 'gathered' five stitches together but in the end you have not changed the number of stitches.
