Threaded Stitch 1

Multiple of 2 stitches

 

Two needle sizes are used. One needle is to be 3 - 4 sizes larger than the other. Cast on using the larger needle. There is one preparatory row.
Repeat rows 2 - 5. Row 1 is a foundation row and is not repeated.

1R-*with smaller needle, knit* 
2W-*with larger needle, purl* 
3R-*with smaller needle, insert tip of right-hand needle through first stitch as if to purl, knit the second stitch and leave on needle , then knit the first stitch through back loop, slip both stitches together from left-hand needle* 
4W-*with larger needle, purl* 
5R-*with smaller needle, k1, insert tip of right-hand needle through first stitch as if to purl, knit the second stitch and leave on needle , then knit the first stitch through back loop, slip both stitches together from left-hand needle *k1
